Blue Bayou Restaurant
About
Blue Bayou Restaurant, nestled in New Orleans Square inside Disneyland Park, is a legendary restaurant where guests enjoy rich Cajun-Creole cuisine in an enchanting, twilight-lit bayou setting. Opening in March 1967, this unique dining experience is tucked within the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Boats glide by on the water just beyond your table, while the simulated night sky, fireflies, and ambient frog and cricket sounds immerse you in Louisiana charm.
The restaurant offers a sense of being outdoors at dusk, yet remains comfortably indoors, with soft lanterns, hanging wisteria, and gentle water reflections providing romantic ambiance. It was Disneyland’s first restaurant to accept reservations and remains one of the toughest to book, with tables released up to 60 days in advance. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or seeking an immersive meal experience, Blue Bayou is celebrated as Disneyland’s signature fine-dining atmosphere with storytelling through theming as the centerpiece.
